Phoebe May

(former Laboratory technician, 2022-2023)

Phoebe was involved in a variety of projects relating to ovarian cancer. She worked on the development of antibodies aimed to improve the efficacy of immune therapies and tested treatments for ovarian granulosa cell tumors. She maintained and genotyped mouse colonies, worked with an array of cultured cell lines, and routinely showed off her sports knowledge.

Phoebe is currently a first-year medical student at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, NY.

Hadi Ramadan, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, 2022-2023)

Dr. Ramadan attained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed his OB/GYN Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He studied gene expression in the follicular fluid of IVF patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and non-PCOS patients in order to better explain why these populations respond differently to ovarian stimulation protocols.

Dr. Ramadan is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Shimizu Takahiro, MD

(former Research Fellow, 2020-2022)

Dr. Shimizu joined the Pediatric Surgical Research Laboratories at MGH as part of the joint program with the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Shimizu worked on CRISPR/CAS9 synthetic lethality screen which revealed molecular vulnerabilities to select novel therapies for resistant ovarian cancers.

Dr. Shimizu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan

Motohiro Kano, MD

(former Research Fellow, years)

Dr. Kano joined the Pediatric Surgical Research Laboratories at MGH as part of the joint program with the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Kano investigated the use of AMH in preserving fertility during chemotherapy and in contraception.

Dr. Kano directs his own laboratory as a staff pediatric surgeon at the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo, Japan.

Hatice Duygu Saatcioglu, PhD

(former Research Fellow, 2016-2019)

Dr. Saatcioglu studied the development of the Müllerian ducts, and identified a progenitor cell responsible for the formation of the endometrial stroma during early uterine development.

Dr. Saatcioglu is now a staff Scientist in Translational Medicine at Servier Pharmaceuticals, Boston, MA.

Yi Li, MD

(former Research Fellow, 2018-2020)

Dr. Li’s work focused on high-throughput screening of small molecules acting on the AMH/AMHR2 pathway. He identified several new drugs which could have a wide range of applications in women’s health, including contraception.

Dr. Li is now an Associate Professor at Sun Yet Sen University Hospital in Guangzhou, China.

Evelyn Minis, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, 2022-2023)

Dr. Minis attained her Medical Degree from the University of Crete School of Medicine in Greece and completed her residency at Rutgers NJMS. In the Pépin lab, she investigated the role of AMH in pre-implantation embryo development.

Dr. Minis is a Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Natalie Sicher

(former Laboratory technician, 2021-2022)

Natalie worked on projects funded by the Michelson Found Animals Foundation. She optimized protocols to study the efficacy of AAV-MIS vectors in mice for further use in cat and dog clinical trials. She was also involved in projects focused on human contraception, oncofertility, and ovarian cancer.

Natalie is currently a second year medical student at Penn State College of Medicine, PA.

Victoria Jiang, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, years)

Description

Dr. Jiang is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Nobuhiro Takahashi, MD

(former Research/Clinical Fellow, years)

Dr. Takahashi joined the Pediatric Surgical Research Laboratories at MGH as part of the joint program with the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Takahashi developed methods to identify and test target genes in ovarian cancer using CRISPR screens and in vivo gene editing. He provided proof of concept of targeting the JunB transcription factor as a personalized treatment.

Dr. Takahashi is currently a staff pediatric surgeon at Keio University, Japan.

Raghav Mohan, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, years)

Description

Dr. Mohan is currently a Resident Physician at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA.

Karissa C. Hammer, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, years)

In the Pépin lab, Dr. Hammer studied anti-Müllerian hormone signaling in large pre-ovulatory follicles, comparing fertile female patients undergoing IVF to those with PCOS.

Dr. Hammer is currently a Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Physician at the Institute for Human Reproduction (IHR), Chicago, IL.

Caitlin Sacha, MD

(former Clinical Fellow, years)

Dr. Sacha’s research in the Pépin lab focused on the analysis of follicular anti-Müllerian hormone as a predictor of reproductive outcomes of women undergoing IVF procedures.

Dr. Sacha is currently a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist at Fertility Solutions, Dedham, MA.
